Grant Information

CACSEF Grant Applications should convey a vision that matches the vision and mission of the CACS Education Foundation. In other words, the project to be funded should clearly demonstrate how it will "Open the World" to the students who will engage in the

project.

FUNDING CONSIDERATIONS

  • Conducting educational trips to major metropolitan areas, educational institutions, and arts and science centers;
  • Providing special programming: visiting artists, SMET leaders, and recognized community professionals.
  • Exploring career opportunities in business, manufacturing, health services, law, construction, engineering, and education;
  • Establishing mentorships for students with community-based individuals;
  • Providing professional development in support of proposed projects to ensure a project's successful implementation;
  • Obtaining training on how to develop and integrate experiential learning into the classroom;
  • Purchasing materials that support and extend a project's outreach beyond its immediate implementation; and
  • Covering incidental costs involved in implementing the project.

CACSEF DOES NOT FUND THE FOLLOWING:

  • Tools/equipment that fall within the school budget, standard classroom supplies, or maintenance and facilities costs;
  • Refreshments, unless they are central to the project;
  • Salaries or stipends for district employees or substitute teachers

IMPORTANT GRANT INFO

  • The maximum amount of funding that can be requested in support of a grant is $500.00;
  • Please feel free to include video links, testimonials and more to support your grant proposal;
